After searching around on the internet for some golf tips and instruction videos, I came across what Charlie King is calling the “easiest shot”. I know thinking about it, the bunker shot probably gives you chills. The bunkers are there for one reason alone, and that is to screw you up. So how does Mr. King think that the bunker shot can be you easiest shot?

Well first of all, he speaks some truth. The sand wedge is designed differently than your other clubs. The back of the bottom of the club is lower than the leading edge. This allows the club to skid through the sand and not dig too deep. So basically with the technology in the club, all you need to do is know how to swing it.

Charlie King says, all you need to do to hit consistent bunker shots is to take long, shallow divots and hit the sand in the same spot each time. Sounds easy enough right? He also says you must practice on this. Your not going to just go out and hit perfect shots every time until you master the swing.

Find a practice bunker and start swinging at the sand. Concentrate on the divot you are making and the sound that your club makes when you strike the sand. Your divot should be long and shallow, while the sound you hear is a thump, not a thud. Also the sand should fly far.

Now that you know how to swing your technology filled club, throw some balls in the bunker and see what you can do. Its all about practice, and once you get it, the bunker shot will be the easiest shot of your game.

Now that you know how to hit the ball out of the sand, you can show off on your next Corporate Golf Tournament. Whenever and where ever your next company outing is, give us a call at 888-626-1088 to reserve your Rental Golf Club sets!
